Lord of the Rings fans rejoice, as today begins another series of three Peter Jackson epic fantasy-adventure films, based on the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien, starting with the highly anticipated movie “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” It has been a long wait for these films, since the last of the LOTR films debuted in 2003.
With less than a month to go before the release of “The Hobbit” in theatres, as well as, the start of the holidays, it is of no surprise that you have Lord of the Rings (LOTR) on the brain. Since you are a huge fan of the LOTR trilogy, you find yourself riddled with excitement and anticipation of the gifts Santa has in store for you.
You are a huge fan of Star Wars and have seen each of the films in theatres and on DVD. You own every single movie box-set and collect basically anything Star Wars related. You dress up as Luke Skywalker for Halloween every year, talk like Yoda at least once a day, and watch the Star Wars films back-to-back, which by the way, you have seen at least ten times. Your fascination with these films has caused many of your friends to classify you as being the biggest and most extreme Star Wars fan and is why you should have a Star Wars Theme Christmas this year.
Yoda is a beloved character from the original Star Wars and prequel trilogy movies. He is known as a wise and powerful Jedi Master who is responsible for training Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi in the film, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which was where he made his first on-screen appearance and was the beginning of his popularity. Although Yoda is well-known for his portrayal in the Star Wars films, he has taken the leap from movies to the virtual world and has become a favorite internet meme amongst the online community.
Facebook… ah, good ole Facebook, it has left a major imprint in most of our lives. We share our emotions, thoughts, ideas, and opinions via our Facebook status updates, post photos of life’s events, big or small, and use it as a source to get our daily news and gossip. It has been good to us, dear ole Facebook, sort of like a robotic friend (well…close enough).
A lot of us turn to this popular social networking site several times a day and never do we miss any time meeting up with our Facebook friends online. Not only do we “like” you Facebook, we love you! So it is no surprise that people have created Facebook inspired merchandise, for the fanatics, like you and I. Seriously, we bring Facebook into our homes every day; why not do it literally.
