I think the most surprising thing is that Cats have less time for social networking than Parents do…

It is interesting that the linkedin has higher concentration of “top country” users. Not too surprised about the Twitter percentage, it’s still growing I think, but it’s definately not “sticky” in the sense that other networks seems to have grown due to leveraging existing relationships, where twitter is more for professional soapboxers and people having fun.

Fantastic article and in my opinion I’m surprised that Pew research estimates less than 10% of the population is using Twitter. Based on articles I’ve read recently, this number is going to skyrocket in the next few years. Also, I’m also surprised that the Twitter pie chart that highlights the % of nationalities use Twitter are broken down into three nationalities. Usually there is a “Other” slice of the pie that represents the combined nationalities (i.e. Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian, Mixed etc). My guess is that Twitter usage is being used among other nationalities that aren’t of “White, Black or Hispanic” origin. Don’t think this pie chart is an accurate representation of the diversity of Twitter users.
