Fans of the show, “American Idol,” are used to voting for their favorite Idol contestant using the toll free number and fans, that are also AT&T wireless customers, can vote via unlimited text messages (during the allotted voting time-frame). Although these systems have worked in getting votes; what ever happened to those fans who would prefer to vote online? Somehow they were over-looked, until now.
American Idol announced on February 24th, they will be incorporating their official website with Facebook, as a way to begin accepting votes following the perfomance show, airing Tuesday, March 1 (8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. To take part in this new online voting system, visit the official American Idol website and log-in via Facebook. Since majority of us will already be online, most likely tweeting out our favorite song of the night, it makes voting a lot more convenient.
No longer do fans have to try and locate their mobile phones to text, or remember the toll free number in order for their vote to count (even though these options are still available). People on the internet now have a voice in who they want to win the title too! So be ready to vote for your favorite American Idol contestant by tuning in on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8/7c and by voting immediately following the next performance show.
